Maspeth, NY-- February 21, 2008 --Insparisk today announced that the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors has recently accredited the company to provide national boiler inspection services. Insparisk was issued the Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA) Provisional Certificate of Accreditation, also known in the industry as “holding NB-369” status.
This accreditation will allow Insparisk to perform inspections in jurisdictions that require this certification, which are currently states that accept the 369 standard.
“We are pleased to have received this important industry accreditation,” commented Stephen Kleva, President and CEO of Insparisk. “One of our company goals is to leverage the 270,000 boiler inspections we have performed in New York City to date on behalf of building owners, property managers, governmental agencies, property & casualty insurance carriers and continue the growth of our boiler safety inspection services nationally.”
Accreditation is granted to those inspection companies that employ the high quality standards set forth by the National Board. A Quality Manual outlining the procedures, operations and standards of Insparisk was audited by a National Board member.
Insparisk was formed as a parent company of City Spec, Inc. in 2007. Using its advanced proprietary software, Insparisk manages safety inspections for boilers, elevators, fire detection/suppression systems, building facades, HVAC equipment, and electrical panels. City Spec was founded in 1992 to perform inspections on low-pressure boilers within the city of New York. Stephen Kleva has led the company as President and CEO since 2005. The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors was created to promote greater safety to life and property through uniformity in the construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels. The National Board Inspection Code is the only standard recognized worldwide for in-service inspection repairs and alterations of boilers and pressure vessels. This American National Standard has been adopted by a number of states and jurisdictions, as well as by federal regulatory agencies including the U.S. Department of Transportation.
